Seems like Checa on that Ducati is gonna take both titles this year as well.
Although it would be absolutely awesome if Sykes could find a way to translate his speed into a winning race pace and get the green machine a championship, which I'm sure a lot of us at the forum have been craving for years.

They were two very good superbike races. It's hard to see anyone able to take it up to Carlos consistently enough to be a genuine contender. Biaggi is too flaky I reckon though he's not without a chance. I'm super impressed with Sykes and the Provec Kawasaki team. They've been consistently fast all pre-season and the first two rounds and showing cometitiveness that us Kawasaki falk have been hanging out for for years. Also, props to Leon Haslam, overcoming his healing leg and really getting that BMW towards being a regular podium contender.
The supersport race was just bizarre. A plethora of ride throughs from overshooting the chicane including Sofuoglu who seemingly ignored it and got black flagged, then Sheridan Morias crashes out of an uncontested certain podium and Broc Parkes disappears off the page only to pop up out of nowhere and set the fastest lap of the race (incidentally, I think he'll be re-instated further up the leaderboard, I reckon there was a timing problem for him)! Foret was typically fast and forceful and rode a terrific race and Lowes showed maturity to keep the pressure on but not do anything stupid. Quarmby's first podium was brilliant and he made it by the skin of his teeth, only four thousandths of a second!Get off my lawn

ps. Kudos to Carlos Checa on celebrating his wins with the marshalls, I thought that was classy.

So it turns out that Parkes burned a tire in three laps. Ten Kate won't be happy with Pirelli... Anyway, he was fastest in post race testing as well so hopefully that is more of a sign of things to come from him.
Tom Sykes continued his and Kawasaki's inpressive improvement finishing the Monday test fastest over Jonathon Rea by half a second and smashed his own track record from Superpole, but on race tires! Go you good thing!Get off my lawn
